Update from Pinewood Structures

In light of recent developments, I wanted to personally reassure you that Pinewood’s high levels of customer care will remain in place.  Whilst our top priority remains the safety and health of our employees, customers and sub-contractors, we have implemented a number of actions to ensure we continue to provide a reliable service to our customers.



We are putting in place a number of steps to minimise the risk to our employees and to our manufacturing output.  We continue to operate at full capacity and whilst we do not see this changing dramatically, we are nevertheless able to outsource production on a limited basis to trusted supply chain partners.  With regards to our raw material supply chain, we see no imminent issues, but are increasing our stock levels as a precaution should supply chains be interrupted. We would only ask our customers to ensure we are kept abreast of your demand requirements although we realise there will no doubt be a high degree of uncertainty in any plans/programs you may have.


Site Delivery

Where communicated to us, we have passed on our customer’s updated operating protocols through to our on-site sub-contractors to help them minimise any risk to themselves and others. Our on-site processes are currently unaffected, and we will be continuing our stringent checks and handover procedures on our products via our directly employed Project Managers. .


Design Support

We have the facility to attend design team meetings and offer design support remotely, via Microsoft Teams.  This facility offers video conferencing and screen sharing, meaning that designs can be safely and efficiently discussed over video link.  In addition to this we are instigating home working wherever possible with our staff to minimise the risk to them and to ensure that we have sufficient design capacity to leave programmes unaffected.  We also have additional capacity for design using our trusted independent external design teams that we have long-standing relationships with.


Sales Support

Our Sales Team will be available for any discussions and support functions that you may require.  Again, they have access to MS Teams so they are happy to attend Tender Reviews, Pre-Order Meetings and general discussions, via video conferencing.  MS Teams has the facility for screen sharing so they can discuss specific items, plus can ask colleagues from design, construction etc to join in to assist with any specific queries.  They will be available for any of your usual queries during normal office hours from their home working locations.  In the case that any member of the Sales Team is unavailable, other members of the team will be briefed and able to assist with your requirements.

We are closely monitoring the latest government advice and will keep you updated if anything changes from our perspective.

We hope that the above reassures you that Pinewood Structures are doing everything possible to ensure provide an uninterrupted service during these challenging times. We have the right procedures in place to maintain our usual high levels of service and operation – whilst putting the health of our staff and customers as our top priority.  We will of course be able to assist you if you need guidance on MS Teams, or alternatively connect via your company’s preferred conferencing software if you would prefer.  Please come back to me with any questions, we look forward to continuing our successful relationship.
