Construction

It is widely accepted that building practices must change to become more efficient, provide better quality and reduce environmental impact. Off-site fabrication, as with timber frame structures, creates much of the building in a controlled environment, thereby reducing problems due to the weather and on-site labour skills. It also means controlled costs leading to faster build times and significant savings.

Timber frame buildings are lightweight thereby reducing the need for expensive foundations and allowing larger buildings to be constructed on sites with poor ground conditions, such as brown field sites. Buildings are delivered to the site in a panellised form with all components labelled for each section. Materials can be stored in the correct order for erection minimising handling and risk of damage.

At Pinewood we will design and manufacture the exact timber frame specification best suited to your project.
