Pinewood Structures was contracted for the design, supply and erect of the complete timber frame structure and roof of this 5 storey hotel belonging to one of the UK’s well-known and largest hotel brands. The Arbury Park development consisted of 150 bedrooms and an integrated restaurant and is situated in Orchard Park development, previously known as Arbury Camp and Arbury Park. The floor area manufactured and supplied by Pinewood was 3,025m² with a roof area of 15,606 m².

Like all other Premier Inn Hotel developments, this development required the use of more durable, robust external sheathing material to aid the reduction of noise to improve the quality of the hotel-experience for guests. The great advantage of this is that the construction is fully sustainable and has been tailored to specification required. Additionally the Pinewood Structures Ltd package can include structural elements to allow large span open areas, ideally suited to hotel construction.

The project value of the development and erection was £0.5 million. With the demand for on-time completion and timber frame construction being the least weather-dependant, the core structure was erected in the agreed time of 10 weeks.
