Commercial ManagerAn experienced commercial manager from the construction sector to manage our estimating and pre-contract support team. You will have responsibility for a team of nine people whose role is to maximize our profitability and assist the sales team by providing outstanding customer support at the pre-contract stage; delivering estimates on time and following up to ensure we secure new business. Ideally from a surveying background, as an experienced manager you will have practical knowledge of estimating procedures, be highly customer orientated, comfortable dealing with clients and able to manage and motivate a high performing team. Senior Project ManagerAn office based Project Manager responsible for projects ranging in value from £100k to £2 million across the UK. You will be responsible for the planning, organization, direction, control and evaluation of construction projects from start to finish according to schedule, specifications and budget. You will be a team player, able to work on your own initiative, have clear communication skills, and be able to plan and manage resources to ensure projects meet contracted deadlines. You will be computer literate and ideally have experience of MS Project or similar. The role will involve attending pre contract meetings with clients and liaising with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver all projects on time and in budget. EstimatorAs an Estimator within our commercial team, you will be responsible for all pre-contract customer support. You will work closely with the sales team to prepare accurate cost estimates for projects of between £100k and £2m for our blue chip client base consisting of house builders and major contractors. You will follow your quotation through to a conclusion with the intention of winning the order. Building an effective network will be a critical aspect of your role, in particular developing relationships with our client base, architects, engineers and consultant designers. Your achievements will be measured upon your costing accuracy and your ability to work with the sales team and clients to win new work. Ideally from a similar background, you will have at least two years experience in estimating and be able to read architect and construction drawings to understand how a building can be constructed in timber frame. You will be commercially savvy with strong communication skills which you will put to good use to understand the client’s needs and ensure your quotation meets their expectations. Trainee EstimatorTo work alongside our Key Account commercial support team we are looking for Trainee Estimator. We are looking for candidates with strong communication skills and good GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English. In return we can offer you the appropriate training tailored to your experience level which initially will be based on experiential learning within our company. Once you gain the necessary internal experience, the company will be willing to consider sponsorship for a construction related qualification such as an HND or HNC.
