Pinewood Structures was delighted to be selected by the
contractor to supply timber frame to this £26m contract to build a 677-bed
student accommodation complex in the heart of Preston’s university campus.
This prestigious project, which incorporates 10 multi-storey
blocks around an imposing tower feature and includes 4,000 sq ft of retail
space. This challenging building was delivered using a combination of steel and
timber frame construction. This allowed this an ambitious project to be
completed within the program that was tailored for the student intake in
September.
Pinewood Structures worked very closely with the main contractor
to ensure the timber frame construction integrated into all the other site activities
to ensure the program was achieved on time and on budget.
